The Stonewall Jackson Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, based just north of Manassas, VA, has proudly served the citizens of Prince William County since April 1971. The department is dedicated to the preservation of life and property through education, quality emergency medical care, and effective fire suppression and hazard mitigation.

National Firefighter Health Week: August 16-20

JULY 03 - A Crew had just finished dinner right before 7 pm when the tones dropped for box 1112 for a house fire in the 9700 block of King George Drive. Engine 511B and Truck 511 arrived on scene to find light smoke coming out of the front door, but as the engine firefighter was flaking out the first hose line the smoke started to get darker and bank down. JULY 03 - Probationary FF Stephanie York had been begging for an auto fire so it was no surprise when the tones dropped at 0528 for Box 1181 for an auto fire on I-66 West in the area of the 48 mile marker. 2nd Alarm in Manassas

MAY 08 - At approximately 1630, units from Stonewall, Yorkshire, Manassas Park, and Buckhall were dispatched to mutual aid box 8103 for a reported commercial structure fire in the City of Manassas. E511 and T511 responded. While en route, Chief 501 reported a working fire and requested a second alarm, brining units from Nokesville, Bristow, Gainesville, and Lake Jackson, as well as M511.

MAY 01 - The Friday night engine company was sound asleep when the tones for box 2426 droped for a house fire. Engine 524 marked on scene at 0056 hrs reporting a single family house with fire through the roof, and requested a second alarm. 2010 VehEx training

MARCH 15 - Stonewall Jackson Vol. Fire and Rescue Company sent 4 students and 2 instructors to the Charlottesville- Albemarle Rescue Squad for an extensive 3 day class of vehicle extrication. Training included vehicle anatomy, vehicle stabilization, use of hand tools and hydraulic tools for patient extrication, airbags usage and patient packaging. Irongate Stabbing

MARCH 12 - At approximately 2315 hrs on March 12, 2010 Medic 511 and Ambulance 511B were dispatched to the 8300 block of Irongate Way for an ALS Assault. The initial report on the incident was that someone had been stabbed. Soon after the initial dispatch Engine 511 was added to the call.
